Golden Oats

Oats made to rekindle your love for oats. Lightly sweet, deeply cozy, and seriously nourishing. Golden Oats are spiced with a warm blend of turmeric and cinnamon, creating a breakfast that feels both grounding and indulgent. Think turmeric latte meets carrot cake—but in hearty, fuel-you-all-morning oat form.

Golden Oats is the breakfast that makes you feel like you’re starting the day off right. Warm, nourishing, and deeply satisfying, it’s the kind of bowl that fuels your body while still delivering big flavor.

The flavor lands somewhere between a cozy carrot cake and a golden milk latte—warming spices, hearty oats, and little bursts of sweetness from chewy currants. It’s not overly sweet like the instant oatmeal packets hikers are used to packing. Instead, it’s balanced and naturally flavorful, with just enough sweetness to keep things interesting.

And yes—there’s a vegetable in there. Shredded carrots blend right into the oats, adding natural sweetness and extra nutrients without stealing the spotlight. What really makes this breakfast shine is how hearty it is. Oats are paired with quinoa, chia seeds, and hemp hearts to create a bowl packed with fiber, healthy fats, and plant-powered nutrition that keeps you full and energized long after breakfast.

Important WARNING for California Residents

Rolled Oats (Instant Whole Grain Oats), Quinoa, Coconut Milk (Coconut Milk, Tapioca Maltodextrin (Derived from Yuca Root), Acacia Fiber), Currant, Carrot, Maple Sugar, Unsweetened Coconut Flake, Chia Seed, Hemp Heart, Almond, Allspice, Cinnamon, Turmeric, Salt.

Contains: Coconut and Tree Nuts. This product is made in a facility that handles peanuts, dairy, egg, soy, wheat, sesame, & tree nuts.

Maple sugar is made by gently boiling pure maple syrup until it crystallizes—nothing added, nothing stripped away. We use it instead of cane sugar because it brings a deeper, more nuanced sweetness (think warm, caramel-y notes) and a lower-key sugar spike.

18 months to 2 years postproduction (the exact best by date can be found on product packaging).

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Our packaging is compostable (not bomb-proof), so skip the trunk of your hot car, gear sheds, humid garages, or anywhere that feels like midsummer in Appalachia.

Farm Feature

Carrots From Field's To Plate

Featuring carrots grown just 15 minutes north of our facility at Fields to Plate Farm, a 10-acre organic vegetable farm tucked into the Animas River Valley. Run by Max and his wife Emily, this farm is a true example of thoughtful, small-scale agriculture rooted in soil health, flavor, and community.

Most carrots eaten in the U.S. are bred for uniform size, durability, and long shelf life. Locally grown carrots are different—they’re grown for sweetness and crunch, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The high elevation and rocky soils of southwest Colorado are an added bonus-creating natural stress that concentrates sugars into the carrot root and delivers that satisfying snap. Those same conditions mean some carrots grow squat, twisted, or with extra little “legs”—perfectly delicious carrots that just don’t meet grocery-store beauty standards.

That’s where we come in. We purchase thousands of pounds of these “seconds” carrots from Max and Emily, transforming them into a craveable backpacking meal instead of leaving them behind in the field.
